Your storage
S3-compatible, Backblaze B2, REST server, SFTP, a path on the host, or anything rclone can reach: Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, WebDAV.
Backups
Choose folders, a schedule and where they go. Zedlin runs restic on your Linux servers over SSH, tells you when a backup is late, and lets you browse any snapshot and pull a single file back.
Set it up
S3-compatible, Backblaze B2, REST server, SFTP, a path on the host, or anything rclone can reach: Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, WebDAV.
Apply a policy to all servers, a tag or chosen ones. New servers with the tag are covered.
From every minute to once a day, with a start time and your time zone.
Keep the last N, plus hourly, daily, weekly and monthly snapshots. Restic only stores repeated data once.
Leave out what you don't need with restic patterns.
Restic encrypts everything. Zedlin generates the repository password, or you bring an existing repository.
Run and restore
Only the restic binary. No timers, services or config files. Passwords are passed over stdin and never touch the disk.
A backup keeps running on the host if SSH drops, and Zedlin picks it back up.
Data goes from the host to your repository, not through Zedlin.
Walk through any snapshot, and download a file or a folder.
Put chosen files back where they were or into another folder, and choose whether to overwrite. From the desktop app.
An alert when the last good snapshot is too old, or a repository check fails. Maintenance runs weekly.
Backups run on a Zedlin server you host yourself, for your Linux servers.
